Privacy Policy
Wat Kham is developed by Jonathan Delaire. This policy explains what data the app stores, what it does not collect, and how on-device features are handled.
Short version: Wat Kham stores your study state locally on your device. There are no user accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party tracking systems.
Data stored on your device
Wat Kham keeps its working data locally on your iPhone. That includes:
- Review history and scheduling state such as grades, review dates, and intervals.
- Streak data including current streak, longest streak, and completion dates.
- Preferences such as learning direction, new card limit, reminder time, and audio settings.
- Reminder schedule for local notifications.
This information is not uploaded to a server operated by the developer. It exists only on your device and in device-level backups managed by Apple.
User accounts
Wat Kham does not require sign-up or login. There is no account system and no user profile maintained by the developer.
Analytics and tracking
Wat Kham does not use analytics, ad tech, crash reporting networks, or behavior tracking. No usage events or session metrics are transmitted to a remote service.
Third-party services
The app does not integrate with third-party advertising or analytics services. The only external platform interaction relevant to purchases is Apple’s own StoreKit framework.
- Apple StoreKit processes in-app purchases and entitlement checks using Apple’s infrastructure. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for Apple’s handling of purchase-related data.
In-app purchases
Wat Kham offers a one-time Full Access purchase through Apple’s App Store. Payment information, Apple Account credentials, and transaction processing are handled by Apple. The developer does not run a separate purchase server.
Notifications
Daily review reminders are local notifications:
- Scheduled on your device
- Configurable in the app
- Revocable in iOS Settings at any time
- Not dependent on a remote push service operated by the developer
Text-to-speech
Thai pronunciation uses Apple’s built-in speech system on device. Card text is not sent to an external speech service for this feature.
Children’s privacy
Wat Kham is not specifically directed at children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal information from users generally, it does not maintain a separate pipeline for children’s data.
Data deletion
Deleting the app removes Wat Kham’s local data from your device. Because the app does not maintain cloud accounts or a developer-operated backend, there is no separate server-side profile to delete.
Changes to this policy
If the policy changes materially, this page will be updated with a revised effective date.
